This is one of my favorite books of all time, and an interesting look into the mind of Marcus. He was the emperor of ancient Rome, and would often write down his thoughts in his now famous journal we now call Meditations. Marcus Aurelius is one of the most famous stoic philosophers, and one of the most powerful people in the world while he was alive.
